Pitched-roof systems
The most popular and most frequently encountered type of PV system in Germany: Pitched-roof systems, which are mounted as on-roof systems on an existing roof.
Flat-roof systems
Photovoltaic systems can also be installed on flat roofs. The advantage here: The PV modules can be mounted independently of a pre-specified roof direction.
Free-standing systems
